July 2007 – IASBA is Officially Established! The Information Assurance Small Business Association (IASBA) was officially established as a non-profit association on July 10, 2007. The IASBA advocates the value of small business in the Information Assurance (IA) marketplace of Government, industry, academia and large business prime contractors. Conversely, the IASBA provides a centralized conduit for the marketplace to express their IA requirements to the collective small business community of IA providers, and to gain better knowledge of small business capabilities. The IASBA also serves an educational function by fostering the ethical exchange of information and exploring IA issues relevant to its members and critical communities such as military, defense, intelligence, and homeland security.
