October 2006 – A&N Participates in Development of Mortgage Data Security Model A&N Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce its participation in the development of A Five Step Information Assurance (IA) Model for Mortgage Industry Institutions. The document summarizes research and analysis commissioned by the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Board of Directors Technology Steering Committee into a general five step model suitable for any sized mortgage institution. The model, which is based on A&N’s internally developed IA model and contributed to the MBA, incorporates research and analysis performed against legislation, security standards, and audit compliance programs applicable to the mortgage industry. The model is then expanded into twelve specific action steps that a mortgage institution can implement when defining and deploying its own IA solution. By following the five step IA model, which can be purchased from the MBA’s on-line store, a mortgage institution can better position itself to address and comply with current and emerging data security standards and regulations.
