Welcome to our website. I'm assuming that by arriving here, you are trying to obtain a better understanding of just what A&N Associates is all about. Let me try to address your interests by reviewing a little bit of our history. Teresa Acevedo-Girod and I, both experienced information assurance (IA) professionals, co-founded A&N in January 1995. We were motivated by our vision of a business environment that offers clients high quality IA consulting services, while providing its employees (the 2 of us at that time) with a work environment that respects them and their individual needs. Since then A&N has grown, and our corporate vision has been refined to accommodate the personal visions of our many staff members, including Teresa who has transitioned into a senior advisory role within A&N. However, our basic tenet of becoming a "world class" consultancy while maintaining a balanced work environment for our employees has remained steadfast. We believe that both our clients and our staff benefit from this approach. We attract recognized IA professionals because we are owned, operated and staffed by IA professionals and are not driven by short-term corporate objectives. Our staff consists of many accomplished professionals who are respected as individual contributors while simultaneously being integrated into a company-wide team dedicated to focusing A&N's best capabilities on each client assignment. Our clients benefit because we can efficiently apply this formidable capability to work on their most complex IA challenges. Since our culture is strongly focused on teamwork, we naturally partner with our clients to help them resolve their most serious issues. As a result, we are able to exceed expectations by developing a profound understanding of our clients' issues and providing tailored solutions that are sensitive to the unique needs of each client. Perhaps the best insight I can provide is for you to think about A&N as a consultancy that offers the diversity and technology base typically available at large and sophisticated corporations in a manner that provides the personal attention, flexibility, and creativity associated with a small company.
